Leslie Eugene Stover

August 4, 1936 — January 6, 2021

Indianapolis, Indiana

Leslie Eugene Stover, 84, left his old, worn-out body behind to walk with our Lord and Savior on January 6th, 2021. He was born on August 4th, 1936 to Robert and Helen Stover, They preceded him in death. He met the love of his life, Ordena, while they were both working at the old Teepee restaurant in Indianapolis, Indiana. They married on January 11th, 1958 and were blessed with 63 years of loving and living life together. She is left to mourn his loss. Ordena blessed him with four daughters. The oldest and most special, the one he taught to walk when the doctors said she never would, is Deborah Lynn Stover. The designated oldest daughter who carries his middle name, is Cindy Jean Stevens and her significant other, Rick Morris. His beloved third daughter, is Donna Jo (Brian) Coombs and finally, his baby, is Brenda Mae Ellis and her significant other, Robert Murray. He also leaves behind two grandsons, Benson (Jennifer) and Brad (Melisa) Mason and two granddaughters, Crystal (Vinnie) Ross & Autum (Lamont) Smith. He has 17 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. All of whom he spent a good deal of time & pride in helping to raise. They will miss him dearly. He is also survived by his sister Suzy Depoy. He had four other siblings, Norma Baber, Robert Stover and Roger and Olive See that preceded him in death. Les retired from Eli Lilly in his early 60s after surviving a quadruple bypass. He cheated death many times since then as he fought hard to stay with the ones he loved. He loved anything western, including his idol, John Wayne. His favorite hobby was as an amateur gun dealer and he was so proud of the short time he actually had his own shop. He loved his guns, a good poker game or game of pool, collecting coins and he loved his Indianapolis Colts. Most of all, he loved his family and always wanted to spend time with each and every one of them. His favorite time of year was Christmas, when the entire family would fill his home to the brim. Life will not be the same without our cowboy.
