Leonard S. Alexander

73 years old, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. He was born to the late Forrest M. and Loreta Alexander. He was a graduate of Pike High School and Purdue University. Leonard was the past president of Pike Township Lions Club and a member of Traders Point Christian Church. He was formerly employed with Golden Harvest as a District Sales Manager and Zionsville Schools as a school bus driver.

Leonard loved to spend time with family and friends, and enjoyed being outdoors. He was a Master Gardener and was well known for his sweet corn. He will be remembered by many for his loving spirit, sense of humor, and Christian faith. Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Shirley A. Alexander; children, Julie A. Kershner (Tom), Jason S. Alexander; Jennifer L. Medema (Jeff); 6 grandchildren, Kimberly Powell (Ross), Kaitlyn Christner (Trey), Kara Kershner, Haley Alexander, Jacob Medema, and Jamie Medema; 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara and Patricia.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Simon Cancer Center, Pike Lions Club or Traders Point Christian Church.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 from 4:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 10:00am with Funeral Service at 11:00am at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd W. Dr. Burial will follow in Washington Park North Cemetery.
