Lee Chandler, 91, passed away May 1, 2023. Lee is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; brother, Steven Chandler and his wife, Sue; brother-in-law, Rod Macy; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Omel Chandler and his sister, Jean Macy.
Lee was a graduate of T.C. Howe High School, attended Butler University and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked many years for Addressograph-Multigraph, later known as A.M. International, from which he retired over 30 years ago. During his retirement, he worked part-time for Fletcher Chrysler in Franklin. It was a good match for him since he loved cars, talking about them and taking extremely good care of his own.
He loved making others laugh and being able to join right in with them. He and Marilyn loved each other dearly and had a wonderful long life together traveling, spending winters in FL, being a team working together and supporting each other and spending time with family and friends.
Lee was a long-time member of Englewood Masonic Lodge, Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite and Grace United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.
Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis), where services will immediately follow, beginning at 2pm. Burial will follow services in Washington Park East Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or any dog shelter of choice.
