Layman (Jack) Foster,
Of Speedway, age 84, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016. He was born October 19, 1931 in Brown County to Charles Matthew and Georgia Mae (Barnett) Foster.
Jack was employed by Crescent Paper Company for 47 years. Following his employment at the paper company, Jack served as Deacon and a Trustee of Speedway Baptist Church of which he was also a member. Jack worked at the Speedway Baptist Church Daycare for several years.
Jack enjoyed Indy car and Nascar racing. He was an avid fan of the late Dale Earnhardt. He also loved the game of gold and was a fan of IU football.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Judy. He is also survived by three siblings, ten children, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sibling and two children.
A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held at 11:00a.m. Saturday, August 20th, 2016 at Speedway Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Hamm and Dr. Mark Hetrick officiating.
