Lawrence R. Prodan, 84, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away October 25, 2017. He was born June 28, 1933 in Lexington, KY to the late Dan and Birtie Mae Prodan. Lawrence had a heart of gold and filled his life with many of his passions; including woodworking, painting, music, working on cars, boats, and motorcycles and even building and flying his gyrocopter. Lawrence served in the Navy as a young man. He went on to be a hairdresser, beauty shop owner, semi-truck driver as well as many other things. He was a loving husband of 49 years to his wife, Sue, and an amazing father and grandfather. He had a zest for life and loved to make his family and friends laugh with all of his outrageous stories. Lawrence's life will be fondly remembered by all.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Prodan; his children, Larry Prodan Jr. (Mary), Lori Stumpp (Don), Andria May, Aaron Prodan (Connie); his siblings, John Prodan (The Late Joan) and Mary Stahl; grandchildren, Larry Prodan III, Jennifer Bench, Stephanie Bruner, Brittany Prodan, Scott Prodan, Sarah King, Andrew Prodan, Grant Prodan, Catherine Stumpp, Natalie Prodan, and Izzy Prodan; great-grandchildren, Caileb, Trenton, Julianna, Ava, Rylan, Rory and Addy.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Edward Prodan (the late June), Jim Prodan (Sharon), Paul Prodan (Aggie), Patty Huegal (Al), Birtie Prodan, and Grant F. Prodan.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Flanner Buchanan—Floral Park 425 N. Holt Rd, from 11am-1pm with a memorial service beginning at 1pm.
