Dr. Lawrence E. Jaggers
INDIANAPOLIS-Dr. Lawrence (Larry) E. Jaggers, 74, passed away Wednesday August 3, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Jaggers; his daughter, Amanda Dixon and husband Dr. Darryl Dixon with step grandchildren, Connor Dixon, and Jacob Dixon; and his son, Nicholas Jaggers, and partner Michael Stern; brother, Daniel Jaggers, and many close family members and friends.
He was born in Decatur IL on June 18, 1948, to Harold and Catherine Jaggers. After graduating from Lakeview High School, he continued with his education and earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Lincoln College, Bachelor of Science in Human Anatomy from National College of Chiropractic, Doctor of Chiropractic also from National College of Chiropractic, Doctor of Acupuncture from Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada, and Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from St. Luke School of Medicine.
Dr. Jaggers was a Pioneer of Acupuncture in the State of Indiana. He received many awards and honors throughout his career. He was well respected by all who knew and loved him.
He met and married his love, Pat in 1973 and soon thereafter relocated to Indianapolis to pursue his Chiropractic practice. Throughout his career, he was passionate about helping people and teaching. He was an avid car enthusiast and loved to rebuild, paint, show, and race cars as one of his hobbies. He could fix anything even though his “15 minute jobs” often ran long with multiple trips to the hardware store. He loved to travel, laugh, and spend time with his family and friends.
He took care of everyone, but his greatest love and pride was his children and family. There was nothing he would not do for them.
Family and Friends may gather for the visitation of Larry at Flanner Buchanan-Broadripple on Wednesday August 10th 4 PM-8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Lawrence Catholic Church on Thursday August 11th at 1PM and Entombment and Committal service at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery following mass.
In lieu of flowers and In Memory of Dr. Lawrence E. Jaggers, Memorial Contributions can made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
