LaVida Darlene Feucht parted this earth on December 4, 2021. She was born May 28, 1924 on a farm in Geary County, Kansas to parents Howard and Augusta Glessner who preceded her in death. LaVida graduated from Alta Vista High School and then Brown Mackie School of Business in Salina, Kansas. While in Salina, she met her future husband, Theodore Feucht. She and Ted married in 1944 and were able to celebrate their 50th anniversary. LaVida was a stay-at-home Mom. After her father-in-law passed, she was a caretaker for her mother-in-law for 6 ½ years. Following that, she volunteered at Community Westview Hospital for 17 years. She was active in the Girl Scouts while her daughters were involved in the program. She was a member of the Speedway Christian Church for over 60 years.

LaVida was preceded in death by her husband Theodore A. Feucht, her sister Bonna Jean Aaron, her brother Melvin Glessner, her son-in-law Robert Swanson, and an infant granddaughter. She is survived by her sisters Glenna McCaleb and Janice (Ronald) Harold; daughters Sandra Swanson and Patricia Mann; son Mitchell (Marvelene) Feucht; 7 grandchildren Ann (Carlos) Sanchez, Gina Mann (Thomas Haig), Benjamin (Theresa) Feucht, Jennifer McCoy, Anthony (Tracy) Mann, Jonathan (Rebecca) Feucht, and Daniel (Valerie) Feucht; 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Speedway Christian Church operating fund.

The family invites friends and guests for viewing from 3-7 p.m. Monday, December 13th at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway at 2950 N. High School Road in Indianapolis. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 14th at Speedway Christian Church at 5110 W. 14th Street in Speedway. Private burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery.
