Laurel “Buck” Glenn, 78, of Indianapolis, Indiana peacefully passed away on July 12, 2019, and is now home in Heaven with his Savior, Jesus. Buck was born on November 30, 1940 in Linton, Indiana.
Buck can best be remembered for his fierce devotion and love for his wife and his entire family. Buck always had wise words of guidance for his daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also always shared funny stories and made funny faces or gestures just to make those around him laugh and not take life too seriously. Buck served in the United States Army, and he was stationed for a time in Germany. Buck was a member and Past Master of the West Newton Masonic Lodge No. 707. Buck retired from Lilly Industrial Coatings (now Valspar Corporation) after many years of dedicated service. He later came out of retirement to work at AIT Laboratories, where he enjoyed the people and contributing again. Buck retired again to enjoy his remaining years with the love of his life, Charlotte, to whom he was married just two months short of sixty years.
Buck is preceded in death by his loving and doting mother, Martha Dottie (Enochs), and his father, Cecil. Buck is also preceded in death by his siblings, Ruby Bennett, Aaron (“Ernie”) Glenn, Beulah East, Cecil (“Red”) Glenn, Ray Glenn and Joanna Smith. Buck loved his brothers and sisters very much, and he talked about them often. He looked forward to being with his mother, father and siblings again at home in Heaven.
Left behind to cherish Buck’s memory are his wife, Charlotte Emily Schubert Glenn, and his daughters, Dawn Humble, Marti Marfia (Don) and Lisa Glenn (William “Bill” Dahm). Buck’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss him dearly. The grandchildren include Nakisha Marfia, Daryl Humble (Autumn), Amber Higgins (John), Lindsey Rice (Joshua), Ashley Zipper (Matthew), and Hannah Marfia (Nick Callahan).
