Laura F. Sauer

Laura Sauer was born September 1, 1924 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to immigrant parents from Poland. She passed away peacefully at age 96 in Indianapolis on November 25, 2020 to join her husband in heaven. After high school graduation, Laura traveled to Washington D.C. to work at the Pentagon and later the World Bank. Laura met the love of her life, Fred Sauer, while in Washington. They married on September 30, 1950, and spent 63 years together in a union that was full of love, affection, joy and happiness. Laura dedicated her life to her family. It was her greatest pleasure to bring joy and happiness to those she loved.

Laura was preceded in death by her beloved husband Fred, her sister Dolores Hawks, an her parents Felix and Mary Cetnarowski.

She is survived by her children, Rick (Janni) Sauer, Jeff (Jola) Sauer, and Andi (Charlie) Thomeczek; and by eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. All that knew her loved her. Laura will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A private service will be attended by immediate family.
