Laura D. Nicoson

Laura D. Nicoson, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.

She was born on March 28, 1925 in Indianapolis as the youngest of 5 children born to the late Andy and Amelia (Schaekel) Deerberg. Laura dedicated over 40 years of service to Western Electric and was a longtime member of Faith United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, Eno J. (Deb) Nicoson; grandsons, Josh (Darcy) Gagne and Matthew Nicoson; granddaughters, Carie, Jenny and Amy Nicoson; great-grandchildren, Emmett and Ife. Laura was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jefferson Nicoson; siblings, Elmer Deerberg, Gerty Hilton, Dora Allen and Woodrow Deerberg.

A graveside service will be held at Washington Park East Cemetery on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 2pm. Laura’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Ritha King and her team of caregivers at Heartway Homes, for their dedicated care and support these last 6 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartway Homes at 8383 N. Meridian St. Indianapolis, IN 46260.
