Larry Wayne Shearin, 71, passed away on October 2, 2024, in Indianapolis, IN. Born on February 13, 1953, in Evansville, IN, he was a son to the late Jonell (Glore) Shearin and Frank Shearin.
Larry was known for his versatile interests and skills, a true jack of all trades. He had a passion for motorcycles, particularly his cherished Harley Davidson, and was equally enthusiastic about muscle cars and trucks. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping and boating. His love for music spanned most genres, adding a soundtrack to his adventures and projects. Larry was also a collector of various items, including pocket knives, miniature condiments, cowboy hats, Zippo lighters, and Beatles memorabilia. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Professionally, Larry dedicated many years as a truck driver before retiring. His commitment to community shone through in his volunteer work, particularly in building bikes for children in need, and feeding the homeless with One Body Ministries, in which he was a member.
Larry leaves behind his wife, Regina (Dyar) Shearin; daughters, Jennifer Shearin of Noblesville and Megan Shearin-Mueller of Indianapolis; beloved grandchildren, Brayden Mueller, Chloe Hoskins, Allison Wencke, and Katie Wencke; siblings, Frank (Beth) Shearin, Wilma (Rick) Emily, Joyce (Tom) Clevenger, Wanda (Bill) Muff, Dale (Kellie) Shearin, and Norman Shearin, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 1 – 3 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East ( 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229) with funeral services following at 3 pm. Pastor Chris Dunn will be presiding. His spirit and legacy will be remembered by all who knew him as a loving family man, a helpful friend, and a generous soul.
