Lance “Todd” Robinson of Indianapolis entered eternal rest on October 28, 2018 at the age of 52.
He was born June 19, 1966 in Gary, Indiana to Lawrence Robinson I and Bettye Joyce McMillan Robinson. He graduated from Lew Wallace High School in Gary, Indiana. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy for 22 years.
His passions included watching football, especially Da Bears. “The Colts are my girlfriend but the Bears are my wife on the side”. He recently enjoyed playing fantasy football with DRob.
He loved kids and savored spending time with his grandchildren and being a “manny” to his youngest boys. Growing up as he was lovingly referred to as “Jeeves” because he enjoyed cooking for LR and DRob.
He never met a stranger and had so much compassion for the homeless often buying meals for complete strangers.
He was a storyteller and always the center of attention at any gathering, usually leaving everyone doubled over in laughter. He is leaving a huge hole in the hearts of all that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife Melody Robinson; children Stefanie Robinson, Leandra Robinson, Heather Patterson (Paul), Hayla Davis (Kodey), Ronnie Hudelson, Jordan Main, Leo Argueta, and Lucas Argueta; his parents Lawrence Robinson I and Bettye Joyce McMillan Robinson; siblings Letha Yvette Robinson, Lawrence “LR” Robinson, and Lee Robinson (Moneice); grandchildren Jeselle Robinson, Jadrien Robinson, Jennalyse Robinson, Juliette Robinson, Neriah Simmons, Jacob Patterson, John Patterson, and Emma Patterson; special cousin Donald “D. Rob” Robinson; nephew and nieces Lawrence L. Robinson, Loreal Bates (Antonio), Jonathan “JR” Robinson, LaShanae Robinson, and LaDeja Robinson; special aunts Lisa Neal and Rhonda Neal; special uncle Mike Neal; great nieces and nephews Avion Bates and Kyrie Bates; special friend Tony T.; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 4 from 1 PM to 4 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis with Funeral Services beginning at 4 PM.
Instead of making a donation to a charity, the family would ask that you pay it forward as Todd always found the good in everyone and gave regularly to the homeless.
