Lamont C. Curtis, 43, of Indianapolis, left this world too soon on February 15th, 2025. Lamont was born in Camp Springs, Maryland, Andrews Airforce Base, June 3rd, 1981, to parents Michael and Devonne Curtis.
Lamont moved with his family to Indianapolis as a child. He grew up on the east side of Indy and graduated from Arlington High School. He continued his education at ITT, earning his associate’s degree.
Lamont was a very hard worker. He worked at Roche Diagnostics and later at VMS Biomarketing.
Lamont was a strong, loving gentleman. He adored his family, and his daughter, Ali, was his world. She always came first. Lamont loved rollerblading. He was very handy, able to fix anything, and very skilled with computers and technology as well. He was also passionate about reading and writing poetry.
Lamont was a devoted son, father, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Lamont is survived by his parents Michael and Devonna (Brown) Curtis; his beloved daughter Ali Bear-Curtis; mother of his daughter Sunny Bear-Pettit; and sister Latasha (Kenyu) Dullen.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Louis C. and Lavenia (George) Curtis and maternal grandparents Lionel and Vickie (Powell) Brown.
His visitation will be Monday February 24th, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 12-2pm. His funeral will begin following his two-hour visitation, at 2pm. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
