Kristie A. Gill

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kristie A. Gill, a beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt. She left us on February 21, 2025, at the age of 76. Kristie was born on September 16, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she was a graduate of Bishop Chatard High School and a member of the parish.

She was the daughter of Margaret and Eugene Krachenfels, who instilled in her the importance of family and good food. Kristie was preceded in death by her siblings, Paula J. Mello and Mark A. Krachenfels.

Kristie is survived by her three sons, Bryon P. Gill, Kevin M. Gill, Brandon P. Gill, her niece Kristin M. Crisp, and her 8 Grandchildren; Izabella, Braydin, Landyn, Grayson, Gavyn, Emma, Liam, and Nora; and many other loving extended family members. Above all, Kristie adored her grandchildren. She found immense joy in their company, creating lasting memories.

A proud alumna of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Kristie earned her Bachelor of Business degree, embarking on a successful career as an accountant.

As a dedicated sports mom and active member of the tennis community, Kristie cherished every moment spent watching her sons play sports. She was their biggest cheerleader, celebrating their victories and offering unwavering support during defeats. Kristie was also an avid Notre Dame football fan, passionately supporting her team with loyal enthusiasm.

Friends and family are invited to call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan-Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46220. 

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Christ the King Catholic Church at 11:00 AM; 5884 Crittenden Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46220. Burial will follow at Holy Cross and St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Families of WWII Veterans. This honors her father's legacy as a WWII POW and Purple Heart recipient.

Kristie Gill will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever be woven into the hearts of those she touched. Rest in peace, dear Kristie. May your legacy of love and laughter be forever cherished by all who knew you.
