Kimberly Sue Curry, 63, passed away on April 21, 2024, in her hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on May 10, 1960, in Indianapolis to the parents Carlton and Ann Curry.
Kimberly spent 25 years serving the Marion County Police Department, specifically in the audio records department. Her commitment to her work was a testament to her strong and independent nature. Colleagues remember her as a loving and wonderful person who brightened up the office with her presence.
Outside of work, Kimberly found joy in simple pleasures like gardening and collecting seashells. Her green thumb brought life to her surroundings, while her collections from the beach reflected her fondness for peaceful moments by the shore. Vacationing to the beach held a special place in Kimberly's heart, allowing her to unwind and connect with nature.
In addition to her professional accomplishments and hobbies, Kimberly will be remembered for the cherished memories she created with family and friends.
She is survived by her father Carlton Curry, son Caleb Swing, daughters Caroline Swing and Shellie Stanton, step-son Jason Swing, grandchildren Daniel, Maeven, Aidan, Chance, River, and LizaJean, and brother Charles "Chuck" (Cheryl) Curry.
She is preceded in death by her mother Ann Curry.
A memorial gathering followed by a memorial service to celebrate Kimberly's life will be held on May 1, 2024, 1-2pm, at Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park East in Indianapolis. The event will provide an opportunity for all who knew Kimberly to come together and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
Kimberly Sue Curry touched the lives of many with her kindness and strength. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she shared and the memories she created.
