Kimberley Ann Tinker

August 3, 1974 — January 27, 2021

Westfield, IN

A beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend, Kimberley Ann (Cruikshank) Tinker, of Westfield, left this world unexpectedly January 27, 2021 at the age of 46.   Kim was born on August 3, 1974, in Valparaiso, the daughter of Jim and Linda (Gorden) Cruikshank and older sister to James and Kari Cruikshank (Hall).

After 18 years of growing up in Valpo and creating countless memories with close friends and neighbors, Kim graduated from Valparaiso High School and continued her education at Indiana University where she received her bachelor’s degree.  Bloomington is also where she was set up on a blind date with Adam Tinker.  Their first conversation lasted over 4 hours over the phone and after a first date at Yogi’s, the rest was history. Kim and Adam were married on September 26, 1998 and from there her dreams of becoming a mother came true with the two blessings of Maxwell and Madison Tinker. Kim earned her master’s degree in Health Administration from IUPUI and for the past 12 years Kim has been a product developer for United Health Care.

Kim loved reading and writing, family game nights, vacationing to Ft. Walton beach, seeing a colorful rainbow outside, and she could spend hours looking at a beautiful sunset. She cherished the holidays, where laughing and telling funny stories would run late into the evenings.  Kim’s beautiful, fun-loving, sweet, warm, kind, compassionate personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  As an active member of Northview Church and Mended Hearts, Kim was passionate about giving back and serving her community, but most of all she loved and adored her family. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them

Kim is survived by her proud parents Jim and Linda, the love of her life and devoted husband of 22 years, Adam Tinker; two incredible children Max and Madison; adoring brother and sister, James (Jill) Cruikshank and Kari (TJ) Hall; parents-in-law, Dennis and Pam Tinker; sister-in-law, Angela (Thad) Study; grandmothers-in-law, Betty Haver and Rhea Tinker; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in passing by maternal grandparents, Maxwell and Mary Gorden, and paternal grandparents, Joe and Margaret Cruikshank.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at Northview Church, 12900 Hazel Dell Parkway, Carmel.  Due to Covid restrictions, private services will be held.  A live stream of the memorial service will take place at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021, please click here to view.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Mended Hearts.  Online condolences may be shared by visiting flannerbuchanan.com.
