Kim Thanh Nguyen

Kim Thanh Nguyen went home to our Dear Lord Jesus Christ on April 4, 2022 from a ruptured aneurysm.  She was born on June 4, 1948 in Vietnam. She and her family immigrated in 1975 to the United States and settled in Greensburg, Indiana.  After helping her family members settle into their new lives, she continued her education and obtained a BS degree in computer science at Purdue University in 1986 and a BA degree in Business Administration at California State University in 1992.  Her career in business included working for Conseco, Forethought Financial Group, and Hocker & Associates.

As a devout Catholic, she fasted every Friday her entire adult life and followed the teachings of her faith.  She put her faith into action by leading a humble life and being very generous to those around her.  She devoted her life to taking care of her family from her parents in their old age, and caring for her siblings especially her younger brother An.  Kim is survived by two sisters Bac and Thiec; her younger brother An; and nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents An Van Nguyen and Ri Thi Hoang; her brother and his wife Nang Van Nguyen and Gioc Thi Phan; and two nieces Thanh Tam Nguyen and Yen Hai Nguyen.

The family will receive friends and family from 2:00 to 5:00 PM with Rosary Service at 5:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM April 11, 2022, with the eulogy starting at 10:15 AM, at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church and interment immediately following the funeral at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
