Keyona Taché Griffin

Keyona Tache' Griffin was born to Barbara J Mickens and Gardner Griffin, Jr on July 26, 1978 in Marion County, Indianapolis, Indiana. Keyona accepted Christ at an early age. On Sunday, January 19, 2025 she transitioned up the stairway to heaven at 46 years, 5 months and 7 days.

Keyona affectionately known as "Kee-Kee," attended Eagle Creek Elementary School and Guion Creek Middle School. She graduated from Pike High School in 1996 with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications at Indiana State University, graduating in 2000.

Keyona united with Puritan Missionary Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana in May of 1986 where she served in multiple auxiliaries; children choir, director of youth choir, as well as a devoted usher. She was employed at RCI for 22+ years as an Executive Correspondent Specialist and enjoyed spending time with her work family.

Family and friends were very important to her, she was kind, generous, known for her beautiful smile, bright spirit, professional shopping skills, and most of all a giving heart. She was a surrogate mother to many of her family and friend's children. Kee-Kee was blessed to become a mother later in life to a beautiful baby girl. She is survived by her precious daughter, Kayla Mickenzie, her mother Barbara Mickens, Godmother Mary Marie Little, Goddaughter Nia Wilkins, special friend Ace, siblings Tashia and Tyrone; along with uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives, a host of friends and her church family.
