Kevin Ken Matsumura, 55, of Fishers and previously of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away the evening of July 4, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born March 21, 1968, in Honolulu, Hawaii the son of Rodney Ken and Ann Akemi (Fujimoto) Matsumura. He married Victoria “Tory” Fickle on September 7, 2013. Until moving with his family to Fishers in June 2023, he worked for the Hawaii Department of Health.
Kevin enjoyed playing basketball, reading, and his music. Above all else, he was a devoted husband and father. His greatest joy was being with his family. He loved every moment of being a dad. He also took care of his aging parents, was always going out of his way to help out family and friends, and was generous to a fault.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tory Matsumura; his son, Kolby Matsumura and daughter, Rosemarie Matsumura; father, Rodney Matsumura; brother, Kyle Matsumura; father and mother-in-law, Stanley and Frances Fickle; two sisters-in-law, Malindi (Jason Brand) Fickle and Jessica (Nick Samuelson) Fickle; two brothers-in-law, Jeremy Fickle and Timothy (Kristy) Fickle; and cousins Susan (Jay) Reynon, Terry Liu, and Keith (Jayna) Liu. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Ann Matsumura; and a daughter, Kaylee Matsumura.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
