Kevin Gene Kuhn

Kevin Gene Kuhn, late of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on December 2, 2021 at the age of 65. He was born May 9, 1956 in Shelbyville, IN. Our beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Kevin lived a life of creativity. He was an avid actor, singer and bowler in his youth, a life-long enthusiast of games of many kinds, including role playing games with friends and family, online games with his guildmates and sister-in-law, and card games with family. Everyone knew Kevin by his wit, sometimes sharp, and his generosity, never shallow. He gave many their first job, but found his most satisfaction in his final one: working at the Indianapolis Zoo. It gave him particular joy to bring the Zoo’s rhinoceros a birthday watermelon, and to visit with the gregarious orangutans. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Melody Lee Kuhn, whom he never stopped teasing; his mother Mildred Kleyla (Ralph), with whom he never stopped gambling. He is also survived by siblings John Robert Kleyla (Lisa), Keith Kuhn, Michael Kuhn, and Melissa Kuhn; nieces and nephews Saundra Walters, Amber Kelsey, Jacob Hawk, Karen Crousore-Herbert, Christopher Williams, Jacob Kleyla, and Noah Kleyla and their families; and in-laws Sheryl Jern, Virginia Altman, and Guy Raymond Williams. He was preceded in death by his father Jackie Kuhn and nephew Matthew Mitchell. Visitation will be held Monday, December 6 from 12-2 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis.  Funeral Services will begin at 2 PM.  Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Indianapolis Zoo Fund, 1200 W. Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46222-0309. He would like everyone to remember that you can always count on your partner for two tricks.
