Kenneth Harold Civils, 61, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 17, 2017.
Kenny was born February 5, 1956 to the late Harold D. and Joyce M. Civils in Indianapolis. He worked as a construction estimator for a number of years, was a recent member of Pleasant Masonic Lodge in Acton, a member of the Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons, the Kentucky Walking Horse Association, and Rocklane Christian Church. He was an avid horse lover, and a two time World Champion Rider of the Tennessee Walking Horse, and had many other wins as an amateur rider throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana.
Kenny is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Debra Civils; sister, Connie (Dr. Jim) Tandy; brother-in-law Col. Wm Dorsey; niece, Jamie Daming; and nephews, Josh Tandy and Jake Tandy. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Linda Dorsey.
Friends and family are invited to gather from 11:00am-3:00pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Rocklane Christian Church, 4430 Rocklane Rd, Greenwood, IN 46143. A funeral service will follow at 3:00pm. Kenny will be laid to rest at Orchard Hill Cemetery in Wanamaker, IN.
