Kelly Jo Cox, 32, of North Salem, Indiana passed away January 28, 2020. She was born February 21, 1987 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Donald and Tammy; she was one of four daughters.
She was a lifetime Indiana resident and proud 2005 graduate of Warren Central High School. She was a talented beautician, an accomplishment she took great pride in. She was also a beloved former employee of Flanner Buchanan Funeral Centers, where her big heart and gentle kindness brought joy into the lives of many; she was a true ray of sunshine. Kelly loved to collect music boxes, doing yoga, and traveling. She especially loved her trips to Colorado and Niagara Falls. She was a faithful member at Connection Pointe Christian Church in Brownsburg, Indiana, where she was baptized, alongside one of her sons. She committed her life to Jesus and wasn’t afraid to share His word with those around her; she never backed down from telling someone they could turn their life around, regardless of what they were going through. She was truly a beautiful soul, inside and out. Kelly wasn’t afraid to be kind, caring, and loving in a world that is often cold and harsh; in reality we all have a few things we could learn from how she lived her life and treated others. She shared an amazing bond with her sisters and was the most amazing mom to her three beautiful sons, they were her absolute pride and joy. She was truly an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to all. Her passing leaves an empty space in the hearts of those who were blessed enough to meet her; peace can be found in knowing we will see her again. She was truly one of a kind and will be incredibly missed by all.
Kelly is preceded in death by her father, Donald D. Cartwright. Surviving to cherish her memory are loving husband, Wes Cox; sons, Ayden, Andrew, and Ethan; mother, Tammy (David) Tucker; sisters, Holly (Kyle) Langston, Jamie Cartwright, Amber (Brandon) Chapman; grandmother, Mariellen (the late Roy) Cook; nieces and nephews, Mason, Aubrey, Kaylee, and Riley; as well as a host of extended family members and friends who cherished her greatly.
