Keith A. McDowell

Keith Allen McDowell left this world too soon, on March 30^th, 2024. He was born in Indianapolis November 25^th, 1957, to parents Ralph Glaze and Carolyn (Lambert) McDowell. 

Keith grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from South Port High School. 

He proudly served his country in the United States Army. 

In 2005, Keith married the love of his life, his sweetheart, Kimberly. They shared nearly 20 wonderful years together. 

He worked many years as a truck driver, before retiring. 

He and Kimberly were valuable members of New Creations Restorations Church. 

Keith was a strong, compassionate gentleman, who put God first. A skilled driver and mechanic, there was nothing he couldn’t fix, and he enjoyed restoring cars. His Monte Carlo (aka, his mistress) received a lot of his love and attention. He and Kim loved to ride their Harleys together. Keith loved music and rocking out at concerts. Above all, he adored his family and spent as much time with them as he could. 

Keith is survived by his sweetheart, Kimberly McDowell; children Angela Mullin, Andrea McDowell (Donail Walker), Brandon McDowell, Desiree McDowell, Zaylen Rutherford, Braylynn McDowell, Gracelynn Rutherford, Amy Rutherford (Craig Perry), Angela Munden (Darel Reed), Justice Rutherford (Brandon Murphy); grandchildren Miles, Owen and Felicity Mullin, Isaiah, Arieanna, and Elijah Walker, Haley McDowell, Avet Fremin, Lydell Perry, Joshua Rutherford, Olivia Rutherford, Leia Perry, Jaydon Johnson, Azyah Cases, and Kamden Murphy;  great-grandchildren Khalia Johnson; brother Ken (Linda) McDowell; and several nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Mandy McDowell, son Brandon Rutherford, and brother Kevin McDowell. 

 Visitation for Keith will be Thursday, April 4^th, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 4-8pm. Additional visitation will be Friday, April 5^th, from 1-2pm. His funeral will begin at 2pm. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East.
