On January 18, 2025, Kay Joann Stover entered the Kingdom of her Heavenly Home to meet with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her parents John and Earnestine Daniels, along with her sisters Earnestine, and Linda, and her brothers Alonzo, and Paul Daniels. She confessed her love and belief in Christ at an early age and remained faithful throughout her life.
Kay graduated from Roosevelt High School in Gary, Indiana. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with honors, from Lincoln University, Jefferson City, Missouri, and her Master of Science Education Degree + 30 in Education, from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. Kay was a Master Teacher with many years of rewarding and successful experiences teaching children. She taught in Los Angeles, California, John H. Vohr Elementary School in Gary, Indiana, and IPS, Stephen Foster School 67 in Indianapolis, IN. She was a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, The National Council for Teachers of Mathematics and Reading, and the Indiana University Alumni Association. Kay brought sunshine into the lives of everyone, and had a permanent influence on children's lives forever! She strongly believed that children are our future, and this showed by the way she cultivated, nurtured, and encouraged high scholastic and ethical standards, as well as fostered long-lasting friendships and unity among students.
We can rejoice today because we know that Kay is with her other family members who preceded her in death, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Kay leaves to mourn her life, a beloved, loving, and devoted daughter Kathy Jewell Stover, brother John R. Daniels
(Gwendolyn), two nieces Candi A. Carbajal (Cesar), Marciela Crawford, a nephew, Eric Daniels, as well as, a host of cousins and loyal friends.
Kay will be missed immensely, remembered fondly, and cherished for her impact and devoted love as a faithful, and dedicated zealous mother, sister, aunt, outstanding teacher, and remarkable friend. She was definitely "A Rare Gem."
"Well done good and faithful servant!"
"We know that for those who believe in the Lord, there is never a last goodbye, we will see you in heaven"
