Katie E.A. Williams

Katie Williams, 28, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 17. She was born on August 29th, 1992 in Bangor, North Wales. Katie graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 2010 and went on to become a highly successful and requested stylist at Furr Pet Spa.

Her many and varied hobbies and interests were as unique and bold as she was. Like one of her favorite artists, Miley Cyrus, Katie came in like a wrecking ball. She was born at 4lbs 12oz not quite ready for the world, but determined to do everything on her terms like it or not! She was such an amazing soul who touched so many people in her life. Anyone who truly knew Katie loved her and her genuine heart so much. Taylor Swift spoke to Katie on an emotional level, and she would routinely speak to anyone who would listen about this song or that, which had particularly touched her.

Katie is survived by her parents: Chris and Sara Williams; her brothers: Jordan, Maxwell, and Nicolas Williams; her grandparents: Anthea Reynolds, Donald and Tanya Williams, and Veronica Povey; her aunts: Alisa Reynolds and Paula Williams; her Uncle Timothy Williams;  and her best friend and partner in life Sara Jackson. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers: Mortimore Reynolds and George Povey, Sr.;  and her great-grandmother and great-grandfather Maxine and James Dawkins. She will also be missed by all of her loved ones and the ones that loved her overseas.

Katie’s Celebration of Life will be held at Flanner and Buchanan-Geist, on Sunday September 27th at 4pm. This will include a time for those who feel moved to share their experiences with Katie and how she may have impacted their lives. Katie’s family and friends would very much like to celebrate her life as she lived it, please feel free to come as you are and all will be accepted and embraced. Comfort over everything.
