Indianapolis, Indiana – Kathy Marie Taylor, 57, passed away on November 29, 2024. A beloved wife, mother, and sister, Kathy’s kindness and love will be deeply missed.

 Kathy was born on July 30, 1967, to parents Eugene & Mourine (Chumley) Asher in Shelbyville, Indiana. She attended Triton Central High School, graduating in 1985. Her sister Arlene set her up on a blind date that changed her life, introducing her to David Taylor. The two married on April 19, 1997, and shortly after had their daughters Kacey and Kaley. 

 Kathy was devoted to her family, making Dave and her daughters her world. She would constantly put everyone else’s needs above her own. Her selflessness and generosity, defining characteristics of the woman she was.

 When she had the time, she could be found crocheting at home or tending to her flowers that she cared dearly for. She loved spending time on the beach in Florida with her family and shopping for a good deal, always buying things for the people she loved. She never knew a stranger, and could hold a conversation for hours, always willing to lend a listening ear. 

 Kathy is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Asher.

 Kathy is survived by her husband, David Taylor, mother Mourine Asher, daughters Kacey Taylor and Kaley Knoblett (Colton), and siblings Arlene Mann (Dave), Stan Asher (Anita) of West Virginia, Damon Asher of Rushville, Indiana, Roger Asher of Fairland, Indiana, and Nadine Cheatham (Martin) of Indianapolis.

 Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 12 pm to 2 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229) with funeral services to follow at 2 pm. Burial will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery following services.
