Kathy L. Sullivan

November 12, 1955 — April 5, 2025

Indianapolis

Kathy L. Sullivan, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2025, in her hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on November 12, 1955, Kathy brought joy and laughter to the lives of everyone who had the privilege to know her. She was a shining light, known for her fun-loving spirit and her delightful sense of humor, which will be deeply missed by all who crossed her path.

Kathy's greater-than-life personality made her the center of attention wherever she went. Her "devil may care" attitude endeared her to friends and family alike. A devoted mother, she took immense pride in her son Adam (Kiersten) Buttner and cherished the bond she shared with her grandchildren, Addison, Makenna, and Sammy J. They were truly her proudest accomplishments, and her love for them was boundless.

A born prankster, Kathy loved to play tricks on her family members, often leaving them in fits of laughter and surprise. Those who were fortunate enough to witness her playful antics will forever remember the joy she brought into their lives. Her adventurous spirit extended beyond family fun; Kathy had a great love for travel, particularly to the Smoky Mountains and Myrtle Beach. She filled her time-sharing stories, and her talented voice once graced the stage as a singer in a country band that performed at local VFWs.

Kathy's love extended to her furry companions, with her kitties — Scooter, Little Bit, and Thunder — holding a special place in her heart. Her nurturing spirit embraced every aspect of her life, and her absence will be felt immensely.

She is survived by her loving son Adam (Kiersten) Buttner, her dear sister Margaret Lynn, her cherished cousin Belinda Washburn, and her beloved grandchildren, Addison, Makenna, and Sammy J.

Kathy also joins her predeceased family members, including her husband Jack Sullivan and her parents Samuel and Loletta Hulse, along with her brother-in-law James Lynn.

A visitation to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held on April 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Washington Park East, located at 10722 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229.

Though she is gone too soon, Kathy L. Sullivan will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched, her laughter echoing across the years and her memories cherished by all who knew her.
