94 years old, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Clarence and Methilda Long. Kathryn was a fun loving person, who enjoyed music, camping, boating, fishing, and water skiing. She was a devoted wife, raising her daughter alone while her husband was serving during WWII. She was owner/operator Barbara’s of Bayshore, a clothing store in Bradenton, Florida. Earlier, she was an inspector at Western Electric for 13 years. Kathryn was an inspirational model of kindness, good character, strength and courage to her family and everyone who met her.
Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Judy K. Brockman (Robert); grandchildren, Steve Toney (Michele), Tim Holtke (Churee), Douglas Holtke (Julie), and Lisa Holtke Roberts; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; siblings, Betty Zufall and Sandra Cottrell and sister-in-law, Norma Long. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis C. Poole; second husband, Fred Dreyer; siblings, Stanley Long, Phyllis Miller, Carl Long, and Ruth Brown.
Family and friends may call from 6:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday, March 9, 2016 and Thursday, March 10 from 10:00am -11:00am with Funeral Service at 11:00am in Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis.
