Kathryn "Kathy" Anne Reinhardt

Kathryn “Kathy” Anne Reinhardt, 65, passed away January 20^th, 2022. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 1^st, 1956 to parents Cabe and Margaret (Schmitt) Lee. Kathy grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Howe high school. She continued her education at Ivy Tech and Ball State University. She worked in medical software support for Bradford-Scott Data Corporation for many years, a job she excelled at and enjoyed. Not one to shy away from hard work, Kathy gave her all to every project she was assigned, going above and beyond to complete her tasks and help her coworkers. She had a great love of animals- she’d been heard to say that sometimes she preferred them to people.  Her favorite animal was cats though. Kathy also had a gift for creativity.  Sewing, particularly counted-cross stitch, was a favorite along with making floral arrangements; she later grew to enjoy paper crafting as well.  Above each of those though was her deep love of music.  From being the female lead in Howe's production of Brigadoon and long time member of the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, to just singing along with whatever music she had playing, music was always her passion. Kathy was a vibrant, loving woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She was warm and accepting of everyone she met. Kathy was a devoted mother, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Kathy is survived by her daughter Sarah Reinhardt, her aunt Rose, cousins Linda and Mary, and many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Cabe; and her aunt Marie. Kathy’s memorial service will be Wednesday February 16th at 3:30pm  at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East.
