Kathleen Louise Murphy

Kathleen Louise O’Connor Murphy passed away on July 1, 2020. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Michael Patrick Murphy. Her children are Maureen McHugh (James), Sheila Murphy (Phil Lee) Patrick Murphy (Carolina), Eileen Goodin (Tom). She was preceded in death by sons infant Michael and Michael Murphy Jr. (Cynthia), brother Michael O’Connor, parents Luigina and Leo O’Connor. She has 15 grandchildren Bridget, Luke, Michael, Clare and Maggie McHugh, Vincent, Cameron and Dominic Grote, Mary Grace, Claudia, Greta and Anna Murphy, Catherine and Caroline Goodin, and Maxwel Murphy.

Kathleen was born March 31, 1938 to Leo and Luigina (Gatti) O’Connor. She has four sisters Eileen (John) Christ, Charlene (deceased Tim) Hayes, Marilyn (Bob Brothers), Jeanne (deceased Michael) McHugh she also has four brothers deceased Michael (Sue) O’Connor, Tim O’Connor, Jerry (Sally) O’Connor and Daniel (Janet) O’Connor. Katy attended Immaculate Heart of Mary and St. Agnes Academy. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be greatly missed by many. She ran her husband’s business for 60 years, fondly referred to as Miss Katy. She will be viewed from 4-8 pm Thursday July 9, 2020 from 4-8 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road Indianapolis, Indiana 46250. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Friday July 10 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7200 Sarto Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
