Katherine Sedgley of Fishers passed away February 29, 2016peacefully in the morning after some illness. She was born to Robert Lynn Hilland Genevieve (Lahmann) Hill in Indianapolis on December 20, 1937. Kitty andDave would have celebrated their 50th Anniversary on July 2nd,2016.
She graduated from Speedway High School and the IndianaUniversity School of Business, was the only woman to graduate in Accounting, inthe 1960 class. She was an order of the Rose (50 years) member of Alpha XiDelta Sorority at IU.
She began work in accounting P.R. Mallory Indianapolis andthe set aside time to raise her family. In later years she prepared Taxes forH&R Block. She was really involved as a Girl Scout Troop Leader inHenryville and loved their Thin Mints wafers ice cold. She was Mom’s Taxi whotook her daughter to her horse riding lessons and model horse collectorsmeetings. Kitty enjoyed travel with the family to Yellowstone andlater visited Glacier National Park several times, then Hawaii and Ireland, herancestral homeland. Particularly Kitty and her husband enjoyed Indiana’s StateParks where they met. Her good nature and quite presence were her hallmarks whileshe kept her red head to the end. She was so very patient that how she was feelingwas always something you had to ask about. She would always listen and sharewith Wayne the daily comics in the papers. Her husband will never forget thesunsets with her at Bradford Lake and in the Rocky Mountains.
She leaves behind her loving husband David A. Sedgley, sonWayne O. Sedgley, daughter Sharon D. Lee, (Brad) and two grandchildren. Herparents and brother, James Russell Hill, predeceased her.
Calling, Friday March 4th at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway4-8pm. Then on Saturday March 5th at North United Methodist Church,3808 N. Meridian St. calling 2-3 followed with the Funeral Service at 3:00pm.
