Katherine “Katie” Harrison

85, Passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 11, 2017. She was born August 30, 1932 to William and Clara Rubush.

Katie started her career as a computer programmer at Fort Benjamin Harrison. She later retired as a systems analyst for Jefferson National in 1988. Justifiably proud of her career, Katie impressed all who knew her with a singular devotion to husband, friends, and family throughout her life.

Katie was known for a love of traveling with her husband and friends, a love of golf, and evidently to all who knew her a great love of family. She was an ambassador to all who met her for both her husband’s business and her family.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bob and her two daughters Jacquelyn and Lorraine; her grandchildren: Daniel (Kristen), Justin (Karrah) and Katie; her great-grandchildren: Guenwhyvar, Gavin, Alaina, and Olivia.

She was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses brother William (Joan) and her sister Elsie (Bill). As well as her son-in-law Jay.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 at 4 p.m. with visitation starting at 3:30 p.m. The service will be held at Flanner and Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), located at 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis.

The family would greatly appreciate a memorial contribution to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of any floral tributes.
