Karl P. Haas, 57, passed away at his home on the morning of Wednesday, December 6th, 2017. Karl was born to Virginia and Ernest Haas in Indianapolis on March 14, 1960.
Having practiced commercial real estate law for 32 years, Karl was a founding partner at Wallack Somers & Haas, a boutique law firm located in Indianapolis. During his career, Karl received multiple distinctions for his work with the City of Indianapolis, the City of Carmel, and numerous private developers.
Karl was an enthusiastic patron of the arts, and he enjoyed entertaining guests with his wife, Holly Stults Haas. His friends, colleagues, and loved ones knew him to be generous, thoughtful, and a wonderful story teller. Karl’s endeavors to cherish and improve his home were shared by his family.
Karl will be missed by his wife, his two sons, Luke and Joel Haas, his daughters-in-law, Kelly Goffiney and Christina Rozes, and his three stepsons, Brady, Grant, and Tanner Quackenbush.
A private service will be held at 10 am on Sunday, December 17th. Friends and family are invited to the Haas Family residence between 2 and 6 pm for a memorial and open house in celebration of Karl’s life. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Karl P. Haas Memorial Fund (in care of United Fidelity Bank, Carmel, IN).
