Karin Kehm

Karin Kehm, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away January 16th, 2024. She was born January 7th, 1945, in Horschbach, Germany, to parents Gustav and Wilhelmine Reinhardt. 

Karin was a hard worker, and a jack of all trades. She worked as a teacher for several years, and later a licensed manicurist before retiring. 

In 1971, she married the love of her life, David Kehm. They shared 45 wonderful years together. David passed away in 2016. 

Karin was a loving woman with a strong work ethic and great sense of humor. She enjoyed traveling back to Germany whenever possible. A social butterfly, she worked hard to stay in touch with family and friends. Karin had a big heart for animals, especially dachshunds. 

She was a devoted wife, mom, Oma, Ur Oma, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

 She is survived by her children, Uwe (Andrea) Meckenstock, Klaus (Carleen) Meckenstock, Heinz (Siggi) Moog, and Ilene (Brad) Williams; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and her brother Klaus Reinhardt. 

 She is preceded in death by her husband David, her sisters Ingrid and Brigitte, and her parents. 

Visitation will be Monday January 22nd, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East from 1-2pm. Her funeral will begin at 2pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
