Karen Kay Grimes

Karen Kay Grimes 61, went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Edna Galvin.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Marvin Grimes of Speedway. Other survivors include her children, Angelina (Troy) Ralston, Michelle Phillips, Christie (Ernie) Vigil, Candy (Tony) Wright and Craig Grimes. Also surviving are siblings, FayeAnne (Charles) Owens, DeAnna (Tom) Flanagan, Priscilla (Greg) Carr, Mark Galvin and Jeff Taylor. Karen also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 5 nieces and nephews and 2 great nieces.

Karen was employed by Marsh Supermarkets for 21 years.

Funeral services for Mrs. Grimes will be held at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Floral Park on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 2 p.m., with visitation 1 hour prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Salem Children s Home of Flanagan, IL.
