Karen Ann Horn
September 29, 1972 to February 18, 2025
Karen Horn, 52, of Noblesville, passed away after a hard fought, two-year long battle with Colon cancer on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on September 29, 1972 to Billy and Bonnie Peel in Lexington, Kentucky.
Karen was a 1999 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a BSA in Nursing.
For 26 years, Karen was a skillful, accomplished nurse, finishing her impressive career at Marathon Health as a Senior Clinical Education Specialist. Her favorite way to spend her free time was with her family; on the beach in Destin, chasing her grandchildren through Disney World, or even just taking long walks with her husband, children, and dog Lilly. She loved cooking Thanksgiving dinner and hosting her family at her home as much as possible.
Karen is survived by her husband of twenty-two years, Tony Horn. Also surviving are her daughters Brittany (Casey) Reed and Courtney Peel. She was a beloved and devoted grandma to her grandchildren, Louise Reed, Agatha Reed, and Maverick Monroe. Also surviving are her parents Billy and Bonnie Peel; her brother Jerome (Audrey) Peel; her nieces and nephews, Moriah (Indiana) Anders, Zoey Peel, and Carter Peel.
Karen was preceded in death by her best friend and mother-in-law, Margaret Potter in 2019.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan - Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters), 4180 Westfield Rd, Westfield, IN 46062. At Karen’s request, a private Celebration of Life service will be held with immediate family the following day.
