Karen Annette (Skiles) Bowen 66 of Indianapolis passed away August 17, 2022. Karen was the daughter of the late George Skiles Jr. and Marjorie Ann (Mattingly) Payne. Karen was born on September 04, 1955, in Noblesville, IN and she was a registered nurse for Methodist Hospital before she retired. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Richard A. McLaughlin, and her brother Ronald Skiles. There will be one hour of visitation on Tuesday August 23, 2022, at West Ridge Park Cemetery in the Chapel from Noon to 1 pm followed by a graveside service at 1 pm in the cemetery. Karen leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband Steven Ray Bowen, her children, Jerry D. Winkel II, Nicholas Winkel, her daughter-in-law Rebeka Winkel, and her siblings, Joseph T. “Tommy” (Antoinette) Skiles and Susan Peyton and her grandchildren, Jerry D. Winkel III, Gabrielle Winkel, Shelby McLaughlin, Lacey McLaughlin, and her great grandchildren Jaxton Groce and Penelope Albright.
