JyKel LeeAndre’ Malik Jarrett, age 21 of Greenville, South Carolina was born March 5, 1999 in Indianapolis Indiana through the union of Kelvin Jarrett and Juanita Chapman-Jarrett. JyKel competed his primary education at Eagle Creek Elementary school and middle school at New Augusta Public Academy North. He attended Cathedral and Pike high schools respectively.
JyKel was a devoted Father, Uncle, Brother, Nephew, Cousin, and Son. As a youth JyKel was known for his speed and played sports mainly football until his freshman year in high school. He was a great artist and loved doing tattoos as a hobby. He had a brilliant mathematical mind and he enjoyed helping solve problems. In kindergarten he was a peer mentor and in high school he worked as a math tutor in a home daycare after school. He was affectionately known by his many friends as PERC.
JyKel was loved by everyone he came in contact with and he was known for his beautiful smile, laidback personality and generosity. JyKel would do anything for anyone and would not complain when asked. He was a great brother, great cousin, and great friend to his peers.
On Monday June 8, 2020, JyKel Lee Andre’ Malik Jarrett departed this earthly life at the age of twenty-one years three months and three days at the Tabernacle Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville South Carolina.
JyKel leaves behind many cherished memories, along with his Mother Juanita Rene Chapman-Jarrett of Greenville South Carolina, Father Kelvin Andre’ Jarrett, his Stepmother Cynthia K. Jarrett, Indianapolis Indiana, Beautiful daughter Kaliana Areielle Jhene’ Jarrett. Sister Jybria Rean Jarrett, Khadeeja Malika Lynn Demmings, Brothers, Jihad Hall, Khalil Kellum, Keon McKinney, and Aamir Coleman of Indianapolis Indiana, fiancée Amari McDaniel, Greenville South Carolina. Hee leaves four Uncles, Clifton Chapman Jr. John T Gatewood, Kenneth L. Jarrett (Lakonia), Keith A. Jarrett, he leaves Aunts Jacqueline Marlow Burton, Jacqueline Gatewood and Leslie Wilson He leaves four lovely nieces behind, Majesty Santiago Chenet, Tiffany Chenet, Greenville Kinsley Demmings, and Khadaira Huskins of Indianapolis Indiana and a host of Great Uncles, Great Aunts, Cousins, Relatives and Friends, JyKel you are loved and will be greatly missed. Until we meet again may God rest your soul in Peace.
