Juliet “Julie” Lois Everett, 91, formerly of Indianapolis and Cincinnati and now of Traverse City, MI, passed away on April 20, 2023 at Munson Medical Center.
She was born in Indianapolis, IN on November 19, 1931, the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Shouse) Farmer. A longtime resident of Indianapolis, Julie graduated from Shortridge High School and Butler University, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She received a degree in Sociology. On August 29, 1953, she married Robert “Bob” Everett.
Julie enjoyed being a homemaker. She and Bob enjoyed supporting their two children and grandchildren in their activities. The couple enjoyed an amazing trip to the United Kingdom, and Julie often reflected on how great an adventure that was for them. She loved ancestry and telling stories that had been passed down to her from others before.
Retirement years were spent in Leelanau County, Michigan.
Julie is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Bob, and her beloved brother, Dr. Charles D. Farmer.
She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Rees of Traverse City; son, Ted (Vicki) Everett of Wyoming, OH; grandchildren, Juliet (JJ) Rees, Scott Rees (Megan Henderson), Rob (Kenzie) Everett and Lauren Everett; and great-grandchildren, Lylah Henderson and Oliver Rees.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, from 10 am to 11 am, with a Funeral Service at 11 am, at Flanner Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46220. Julie’s final resting place will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to a charity of one’s choice, Cherryland Humane Society, or the Presbyterian Church of Traverse City.
