Julia Lynn Hyland

Julia Lynn Hyland, 61, passed away March 13, 2018 in Roosevelt, Utah. Julie was born March 15, 1956 in Indianapolis.  She is survived by her parents, Jerry and Sue Miles Hyland; her brother, Joseph Hyland and sister, Jill Hyland, both of Minneapolis; her nephews Ari Clark, Andrew Birrenbach, James Kelsey, Samuel Hyland and Benjamin Hyland, all of Minneapolis.  Also surviving are her aunt, Linda Wilson of Bradenton, Florida and first cousins Aubry Miller, James Wilson and Jeffrey Wilson, J. Matthew Wilson, and Jodi Wilson Bradley.

Her beloved aunts, Barbara Miles Miller and Lois Hyland preceded her in death.

Julie attended Allisonville School and Eastwood Junior High, and graduated from North Central High School in 1974. She attended Indiana University and obtained a law degree at Western State in Fullerton, California.  Julie practiced law in the Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay areas, and most recently lived in Roosevelt, Utah with her childhood friend and roommate, Karen Corts.

Julie was intelligent, funny, caring, and sensitive.  She loved to read and was interested in history, politics and current events. She was an advocate for social justice and animal rights. She had many beloved pets over the years, and would spend her last dime to help an animal in need.

Calling for Julie will be held at Flanner Buchanan- Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Avenue, from 4.pm. to 7p.m. on Friday April 6, 2018.  Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday April 7, 2018 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 100 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis, with burial to follow immediately at Washington Park North Cemetery.
