Judith "Judy" Kay Steimel

Judith Kay Steimel, 79, passed away on January 28, 2021. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 9, 1941 to the late Wilma Eggerding. Judith was as a Customer Service Representative in the communications industry for many years—working at Indiana Bell, AT&T, and IUPUI. She was a member of the American Women’s’ Business Association, Red Hats Society, and a current member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Judith enjoyed traveling with her loving husband of 38 years, Joseph Steimel. They spent 9 years “RV-ing” all over the nation.  Most of all, Judith loved her family. She will be missed dearly by all.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Joseph Steimel; her children, Jill Meyers (Jeff), Tim Bodenreider (Sarah Riester), Sandy O’Brien, Sally Scotten (Neil), Wayne Steimel (Brenda), and Steve Steimel (Annette); grandchildren, Sydney Meyers, Josh Meyers, Sam Meyers, Becca Meyers, Riley O’Brien, Allyson Urbanski, Kolin O’Brien, Kelly Scotten, Kris Scotten, Scott Steimel, Michelle St. Andre, Bill Steimel, Tina Steimel, and Elissa Gordon; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Judith is preceded in death by her mom, Wilma Eggerding; her sister, Lana Eggerding; and her grandson, Brad Steimel.

Judith will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery following a private memorial service. Friends and family are encouraged to leave a condolence on the online guestbook.
