Judith "Judy" Jeanne Bates

Judith “Judy” Jeanne Bates passed away peacefully on the evening of September 25th with family by her side, after a brave battle with lung cancer. Judy was born in Indianapolis on March 19, 1940 and attended Arsenal Technical High School and Indiana Central College (University of Indianapolis).  After a thriving 40 year career in the insurance industry, she retired to Bowling Green, Kentucky and Vero Beach, Florida. She enjoyed studying genealogy in her spare time and spending time with her two sons.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Bates and survived by her sons, Aaron Dickson and Sean Dickson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan-Zionsville, 105 W. Pine St., from 10:00 a.m – 11:00 a.m., with the service immediately following. Entombment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
