Judith Ann Moore-Hanson, 77 of Indianapolis passed away at home on January 23, 2021 after an extended illness. She was born on April 29, 1943 to Maynard Franklin and June Marguerite (Waite) Moore of Zionsville, IN.
Judy was a 1961 graduate of Zionsville High School, where she lived most of her life. She attended Franklin College and Butler University and was a member of the Zionsville Christian Church.
In recent years, she traveled with husband Charles as he participated in competitive road rallies. She joined him in Alaska at the end of a nine day rally and they honeymooned on a 21 day car tour of Alaska, Canadian Rockies, and Montana. For their 5th anniversary they made a 14 day tour of the United Kingdom. They had planned a 10th anniversary trip to Hawaii which got postponed by the pandemic, and then cancelled by her illness. She enjoyed spending time with family, ancestry research, and keeping up with her favorite British TV dramas. Judy always had a positive outlook and great sense of humor which she shared with everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Charles G. (Geoff) Hanson; her sons Michael (Susie) Ulmer, Matthew Ulmer; daughter Melissa (Doug) Hagist; step daughters Julie (Lyle) Riggen and Laura (Brian) Whitlock; sister Phoebe Markland; and seven grandchildren; Andrew Ulmer, Grace Ulmer, Jacob Hagist, Kelly Hagist, Lindsay Hagist, Olivia Whitlock, and Sarah Whitlock.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Flanner Buchanan Zionsville Chapel.
Due to the Covid emergency restrictions there will be a private graveside service for the family only.
