Juanita S Pugh

Juanita S. Pugh, 93 of Noblesville, passed away on July 11, 2019. She was born on September 19, 1925 in Washington, Indiana to the late Thomas and Mary Storey.

A lifelong math teacher, she received bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Purdue University. After a long tenure teaching math at both the high school and college level, she retired from Ben Davis High School in 1988. She received numerous awards for teaching.

She was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 55 years, H. Max Pugh; six brothers and three sisters, and her son-in-law Ed Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee Smith; sister Polly Grantham, grandchildren Brian (Mandy) Smith and Angela(Bill) Dierckman; great-grandchildren Jillian Dierckman, Max and Luke Smith; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Indiana State Teachers Association.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Flanner Buchanan-Zionsville, 105 W. Pine St., from 2-3PM, with the service immediately following at 3PM. Burial will be at Zionsville Cemetery.
