Juanita Justine Archer, 89, of New Palestine, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, August 3, 2019.

She was born on October 4, 1929 in Shelburn, IN to the late Charles Wilburn and Gertrude (Fox) Reid.  Juanita attended Ben Davis High School and worked as a beautician for many years.  Later in her career, she worked as a recordkeeper for the Marion County Health Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.  Juanita was very involved in her church, Life Tabernacle Church of God, and was a devoted Christian woman.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Buckrop, Lynda (Gary) Stafford, Steve (Kim) Archer; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  Juanita is also survived by her sister, Joyce (Norman) Buckrop.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 54 years, Carroll Archer; siblings, Jack Reid, Myrt Eckert, Helen Rowe; and son-in-law, Ronald Buckrop.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 12-2pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, with a private service and burial.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Life Tabernacle Church of God, 3540 Oliver Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46241.  Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
