In Loving Memory – Howard & Joyce Warner

Howard Alexander Warner – February 28, 1932 – January 18, 2009

Joyce Mae Warner – September 8, 1936 – February 12, 2024

Joyce Warner was reunited with her beloved Howard on February 12, 2024, in Zephyrhills, Florida.

Joyce was incredibly passionate about education and returned to school to earn her nursing degree in which she earned straight A’s. Joyce was a nurse for much of her adult life, working for IU Health Methodist Hospital in the Labor and Delivery Unit for over 15 years.

Howard was a 33-year Air Force Veteran who became an OTR driver for over 35 years, retiring from Gainey Transportation of Indiana. He had over 2.5 million accident-free miles and earned 20 safe driving awards for his diligent driving.

Both were animal lovers and had many beloved pets, including a raccoon named Bandit.

More than anything, Joyce was the glue that kept the family together. She was always supportive of her children and Howard, working meticulously to offer opportunities for her loved ones to live joyous lives. She and Howard had found the kind of love you hope everyone finds in their lives.

Joyce is preceded in death by sisters-in-law: Opal Green, Mildred Riggle, and Barbara Davis; daughter Cynthia Ann Love; and granddaughter Nicki Lorraine Schill.
