Joyce Sipes

Joyce Sipes, 81, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on December 25, 2022. She was born on December 19, 1941, to Nell and Norman Suess. Joyce graduated from Tech High School in 1960. She is a former member of Job’s Daughters, Amity United Methodist Church – where she sang in the choir and was also a greeter, and The Red Hat Ladies – the “Hatittudes” chapter. Joyce enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends, sewing, cross-stitch, reading, and working on word puzzles. She loved travelling around the country and made her way to Canada and London. She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Sipes; daughter, Denise (Sid) Peterson and son, Jeff Sipes; grandsons, Damien Vittorio and Andy Peterson; granddaughters, Kelsey (Daniel) Bederka and Ashley (Evan) Long; and great-grandchildren, Elinor, Torren, and Camden Long; sister, Betty Ann (Jerry) Hollan; and thirteen nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Nell and Norman Suess, sister; Baby Girl Suess, and uncle; Toby Stanfield. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Amity United Methodist Church, 6042 W 100 N, Greenfield, IN 46140. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
