Joyce Margaret Mote

Joyce Margaret Mote, 90, Indianapolis, went home to be with her Lord November 28, 2018. She was very involved in her church from an early age and was one of the founding members for St. Edward the Confessor Pro Cathedral (Anglican Catholic). Mrs. Mote taught second grade at IPS School 60 for 22 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed keeping her mind active by doing the Indy Star crossword puzzles and solitaire daily. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufo and Nellie Lutes, her husband of 63 years, Richard W. Mote, sister, Jean Pearcy, and brother-in-law, Bishop James Mote. Survivors include her children, Rick Mote, Gretchen (Gary) Sargent, and Victoria Ruby, sister, Connie (Ewell) Ashlock, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Central Indiana, 3500 Depauw Blvd #2070, Indianapolis, IN 46268. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9-10am at St. Edward the Confessor Anglican Catholic Church, 6361 N Keystone Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46220. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin there at 10am.
