Joyce A. Havens

Joyce A. Havens, 70, of Indianapolis, IN passed away unexpectedly on November 29, 2021. She was born December 13, 1950 in Brazil, Indiana. Those of you familiar with Joyce know her to be a caring wife, mother and Nana. She was a firm believer in providing a loving home. In addition to taking care of her family she was the property manager and administrator of the family real estate company, H&H Rental Properties. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and hanging out with her family, especially her grandbabies. Her family described her as being generous, loving, independent, feisty, supportive, and headstrong. She proudly instilled value, character and independence into her children and grandchildren. She was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Walter L. Havens, her children, Tiffany (David Burden) Havens, Shannon (Danny) Sizemore, Brandi (Derek) Galovic, William (Liz) Havens, grandchildren, Jacob, Maxwell, Kelstin, Emma, Jackson, Oscar, Cooper, Zoey, Tomisue, Bobbijo, Andrew, 3 sisters, 4 brothers and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents Lucian Humphrey and Emma J. Humphrey Baker. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 4-8 pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with her funeral service there on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 1 pm.
