Joshua Charles Stanton

Joshua Charles Stanton, 29, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on October 9, 2017. He was born July 22, 1988 to James and Kim Stanton, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Joshua was a 2007 Decatur Central graduate where he played baseball. He had a love for all things sports; spending time as a basketball coach, playing ping pong and golf, and always rooting for IU, the Cubs, and Notre Dame sports. His family, whom he loved very much, remember him as being quick witted with a crazy sense of humor, often asking them “How’s your conduct?”

Joshua is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Addie Stanton and Kenny and Linda King. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Amy Stanton; step-children, Tyler Whittaker, Clay Whittaker, and Kaitlynn Whittaker; parents James and Kim Stanton; sister, Heather Stanton; niece and nephew, Riley and Seth Straeter; aunts and uncles, Wayne and Nancy Stanton, Robert Stanton, Jack Stanton, Pat and Rob Fraley, Linda and Tom Norris, Debbie and Dave Palmer, Kenny and Charlene King, and Randy King; and many loving cousins.

Friends and family may visit 4-8 PM, Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis.
